SUPREME'S NEW SEOUL STORE SITS ON HUMAN MADE'S STREET

Supreme's new Seoul store opens Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 22 Seongsui ro 7 gil in Seongdong gu, and the address does more work than the date on the calendar. Seventeen doors down the same street, at number 39, Human Made already runs its own Korean flagship. Supreme is not colonizing new ground in Seongsu dong. It is moving onto a block another brand claimed first, with the postal code 04781 shared by both storefronts. That kind of address stacking is not new to Seoul retail, but it is new to Supreme, which had spent three years running exactly one store in the entire country.

Human Made Got There First

Human Made opened its Seoul offline store at 39 Seongsui ro 7 gil in September 2024, the brand's first standalone shop in South Korea. The label belongs to Nigo, the Japanese designer who also built A Bathing Ape, who became artistic director of Kenzo in Paris in 2021, and who spent 2022 releasing I Know NIGO, a full length album he produced himself with guest verses from Pusha T, Tyler the Creator and A$AP Rocky. Nigo founded A Bathing Ape in Harajuku in 1993 before launching Human Made in 2010, and the newer label already ran flagships in Tokyo and Los Angeles before Seoul. Supreme's new address sits on the same short street, close enough that a customer could walk both doors on one visit through Seongsu dong.

Kith Picked a Different Street, Not a Different City

Kith runs a four story flagship at 70 Yeongmujang gil, also in Seongdong gu, in what the brand has called its largest store outside New York. It sits on a different block than Seongsui ro 7 gil, but the same district, and it means three of streetwear's most recognized retail names, Kith, Human Made and now Supreme, all draw customers from the same few square kilometers rather than splitting Seoul between separate neighborhoods. The Seongsu subway station on Line 2 sits at the center of the cluster, putting Kith, Human Made and the new Supreme address within one stop of each other. Supreme's own Fall Winter 2026 collaboration with the Tokyo workwear label A.PRESSE released in the United States on September 10, a ten piece range founded by designer Kazuma Shigematsu in 2021 and produced across factories in Japan, Portugal and the United States, running from a $798 camo cargo pant to a $3798 cowhide leather jacket. The Asia release lands inside the new Seongsu dong doors on the same day the store opens.

Dior Was Never Supposed to Stay

Dior opened a glass walled store in Seongsu dong in 2022, built first as a temporary pop up and kept permanent once foot traffic proved the location could carry a full flagship. The neighborhood spent decades as a shoe and leather manufacturing district before the factories emptied and cafes, galleries and flagship stores filled the same low rise buildings. Ader Error, the Seoul founded label known for deconstructed streetwear and a roster of European collaborators, keeps its own flagship in Seongsu dong 2 ga, a few minutes further into the same district. Local retailers now describe the customer base as younger domestic shoppers and overseas tourists rather than the older luxury clientele Gangnam built its name on. A luxury house choosing to stay rather than treat Seongsu dong as a one season stunt is the signal that told Human Made, Kith and now Supreme the district could support a permanent address instead of a pop up.

Gangnam Never Lost Its Store

Supreme's actual first Korean store never left Gangnam gu, near Dosan Park, where it opened in August 2023. That store keeps running, and the Seongsu dong opening does not replace it. It doubles Supreme's footprint in one city, the same expansion math that took the brand from the one store it opened on Lafayette Street in 1994 to a company EssilorLuxottica now owns outright. Three names, Kith since its Yeongmujang gil opening, Human Made since 2024, and Dior since 2022, now sell inside the same few blocks Supreme is only entering in 2026. Supreme did not discover Seongsu dong on September 12. It joined a street Human Made already held, in a district Kith and Dior had already proven could carry three or more flagships within walking distance of each other. The next test is whether the newest tenant on Seongsui ro 7 gil can turn a shared street into the kind of repeat foot traffic Human Made already banks on next door.
