TRAVIS SCOTT'S RHYNO OPENS GTA 6'S 34 TRACK ALBUM

Travis Scott's RHYNO opens Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the thirty four song soundtrack Rockstar Games and Atlantic Records confirmed on September 17. Six songs are streaming right now. The other twenty eight, along with the game itself, arrive November 19.

RHYNO is credited to Travis Scott and Guy Manuel de Homem Christo, the Daft Punk producer who has not shown up on a mainstream rap single in years. The song leans into Jack of Hearts, a strip club already visible in Grand Theft Auto VI trailer footage. It was written for a specific place inside a specific map, not bolted onto the game as a generic rap feature.

Six Songs Out Today, Twenty Eight Still Coming

Rockstar posted the album news itself, calling the tracklist music that "capture the electric energy of Vice City and Leonida" from a genre defining artist roster. Six songs went up with the announcement. RHYNO from Travis Scott. That's It from Yung Lean, featuring Future and Metro Boomin. Sexy Magic from CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso, the Buenos Aires duo, with PinkPantheress, Fred Again and French house producer Etienne de Crecy. Last Thing You Need from Morgan Wallen. Macacoa 2000 from Rauw Alejandro. Bright Lights, Big City from Keith Richards.

Nine artists posted stylized Grand Theft Auto VI artwork on September 15 with nothing confirmed, and the read at the time was a rerun of Grand Theft Auto V, where Frank Ocean and the pairing of Rosalia and Arca each picked up a named radio station over the course of that game's decade plus run, built from music that already existed rather than written for it. Two days later, the mechanism turned out different. Rockstar is calling all thirty four Grand Theft Auto VI songs original material commissioned for the album, not a curated pull from an existing catalog dressed up as a station. The guess was close. The plumbing underneath it was not, and an album with its own CD and vinyl pressing is a different business than a station nobody pays for directly.

Guy Manuel de Homem Christo Builds the Rager

Guy Manuel de Homem Christo wrote and produced RHYNO alongside Travis Scott, a rare credited placement for a Daft Punk member on a major rap single since the duo went quiet in 2021. Daft Punk won Album of the Year at the 2014 Grammys for Random Access Memories, then split seven years later without ever crediting a solo hip hop record between them. RHYNO breaks that streak. The pairing puts a producer known for restraint on a track built around a strip club scene, and early listens describe rager energy layered under the Jack of Hearts references. Travis Scott has spent this year working outside music entirely, fronting Oakley's Reserve apparel line with Matthew Williams before landing a soundtrack slot most of his peers never get offered. Cactus Jack has built a habit out of showing up in places a rap catalog does not usually reach, and a strip club inside a franchise that has earned Rockstar more than ten billion dollars since 2013 fits that habit.

The Deal Traces Back to a January Promotion

Travis Scott tagged Kevin Weaver directly in the announcement post. Atlantic named Weaver President of Atlantic Music Group on January 23, 2026, a newly created role built around soundtracks, strategic partnerships, gaming initiatives, sync licensing and brand alignment across Atlantic Records, 300 Entertainment and 10K Projects, reporting to chief executive Elliot Grainge. His prior soundtrack credits, Barbie the Album, Twisters the Album, The Greatest Showman, Suicide Squad and F1 the Album, account for more than fifty million album equivalent units and over forty Grammy nominations between them. Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is the biggest gaming placement of that run, and the tag in Travis Scott's own post is Atlantic's clearest public confirmation of who built the deal.

One Vinyl Sold Out Before the Game Shipped

Atlantic priced the standard CD at $19.98 and standard vinyl at $49.98. A limited edition pressing, two transparent magenta discs filled with blue liquid, listed at $124.98 and sold out on preorder before Rockstar has shipped a single copy of the game itself. Retail exclusives are already staged at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, Urban Outfitters and independent record stores, with vinyl shipping November 20, one day after the game and the digital album both land. A soundtrack usually rides a release date. This one is already selling on its own, six songs and two months ahead of it.
