Stone Island's NO SEASONS, one hooded pattern in six fabrics dyed piombo, is featured in Wallpaper Magazine with photography credited to Daniel Aires. It follows an April 20 to 26 Milan pool installation, Skepta's October 19 portrait in the Tela Resinata jacket and a Selfridges launch that runs to November 6, 2026.

Key Points

Stone Island NO SEASONS is featured in Wallpaper Magazine, with photography credited to Daniel Aires and the AW26 Compass Inside season as its frame. Wallpaper's website covered the project in April as a Milan design story; the magazine feature arrives in October, as the six jackets reach shops and not only a swimming pool.

That gap is the useful part. In six months NO SEASONS has gone from an installation to a campaign look to a retail launch, and the dates show how deliberately Stone Island has staged it.

April 20 to 26, Inside a Disused Pool

Stone Island first showed the NO SEASONS revival at Capsule Plaza, Via Achille Maiocchi 8, in Milan from April 20 to 26, 2026. The room was a disused swimming pool, designed with the Milan interior studio NM3, and the benches were upholstered in the six fabrics so visitors could sit on them.

Wallpaper's coverage of that week described one jacket built in six versions of Stone Island's fabrics, with the installation paying homage to a concept Massimo Osti introduced in the late 1980s. The October feature picks the subject up again, this time through a photographer's eye.

Osti Ran NO SEASONS From 1989 to 1994

Massimo Osti started NO SEASONS in 1989 and the original project ran until 1994. He founded Stone Island in 1982, and Carlo Rivetti took control in 1994, so the project ended in the year the founder left.

The idea was to keep refining one garment through materials and construction instead of following the seasonal calendar. Trade press billed the 2026 return as arriving 37 years after Osti introduced it. Moncler Group owns Stone Island today, having closed its purchase on March 31, 2021, so the revival is a Moncler era decision about a Rivetti era archive.

David Sims Shot the Season, Aires Shot the Feature

The AW26 Compass Inside campaign was photographed by David Sims, with creative direction by Ferdinando Verderi and styling by Max Pearmain. Its portraits run inside Community as a Form of Research, the interview series curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, where each subject answers questions from a list of 100.

Wallpaper's credit goes to a different photographer, Daniel Aires. That puts NO SEASONS in front of a second camera in the same autumn, which matters for a project whose whole premise is that one pattern can be read through different surfaces.

Nine Days in October, Denim to Canvas

October gave the season its sequence. On October 13, Stephen Graham and Skepta carried the denim pair, the 4100006 laser pigment coach jacket and the 4100002. On October 15, Stone Island returned as Official Partner of Frieze Focus at Frieze London 2026, funding a bursary for each of 35 galleries.

The canvas arrived last. Skepta wore the 41NS001 Tela Resinata on October 19, the product page followed on October 20 and the presentation of all six fabrics came on October 21, with a film credited to Achille Mauri. Skepta's answer to Obrist's question 66 of 100, "What is freedom?", was "Freedom is something you have to work on."

Forget the Colour. Read the Cloth.

All six NO SEASONS jackets are dyed piombo, a lead grey, so the fabric does the talking. The six are Tela Resinata, Nylon Prismatico TC, Raso Gommato, David TC, Crinkle Reps NY and Panno, and Stone Island's own text says the shared colour works by "allowing each material to dictate the precise tone and hue".

Four of the six have published specs. Tela Resinata is a cotton canvas coloured on both sides with pigmented resins and is 50 percent recycled cotton. Raso Gommato is a cotton satin bonded to polyurethane, David TC is a light star shaped polyester layer that is sewn and garment dyed at high temperature, and Crinkle Reps NY is a technical nylon with a polyurethane coating. The full six fabric breakdown sets them side by side; Nylon Prismatico TC and Panno have no spec sheet in the release text.

Selfridges Holds the Launch Until November 6

The global launch of NO SEASONS sits inside Stone Island's Selfridges Corner Shop residency in London, which runs from September 21 to November 6, 2026. The residency is titled Selected Works '982 to '026, The Collector Series, and it is built around archive pieces lent by independent collectors, including Glenn Kitson's portraits of eight collectors.

Japan gets the range from October through Stone Island's own stores and its official online store, according to Fashionsnap. No European or US release date for individual fabrics has been confirmed.

A project Osti closed in 1994 was shown in a pool in April, worn by Skepta in October and is on a shop floor until November 6.
