One Stone Island Jacket Pattern Runs Through Six Fabrics

Stone Island's NO SEASONS applies one hooded outerwear pattern to six fabrics, all dyed piombo, reviving a Massimo Osti project from 1989 to 1994. The Autumn Winter 2026 edition was installed in a Milan swimming pool from April 20 to 26 and launches globally at Selfridges, with Japan sales starting in October.
Key Points
- NO SEASONS is one hooded pattern in six fabrics, all dyed piombo, revived from Massimo Osti's 1989 to 1994 project.
- The six are Tela Resinata, Nylon Prismatico TC, Raso Gommato, David TC, Crinkle Reps NY and Panno.
- Milan showed it April 20 to 26; Selfridges runs the global launch September 21 to November 6.
Stone Island's NO SEASONS is one hooded outerwear pattern cut in six fabrics, every one dyed piombo, the Italian word for lead. The Autumn Winter 2026 version runs Tela Resinata, Nylon Prismatico TC, Raso Gommato, David TC, Crinkle Reps NY and Panno, and Stone Island presented it on October 21 with a film credited to Achille Mauri. It revives a project Massimo Osti ran between 1989 and 1994, and it holds colour still so that the cloth is the only variable.
Six Cloths, One Shade of Lead
The six NO SEASONS fabrics are Tela Resinata, Nylon Prismatico TC, Raso Gommato, David TC, Crinkle Reps NY and Panno, and all six garments are dyed piombo. Stone Island's own text says the shared colour works by "allowing each material to dictate the precise tone and hue", so a resin coated canvas and a rubberised satin can land on two different greys from one dye name.
Four of the six have published specs. Tela Resinata is a cotton canvas impregnated and coloured on both sides with pigmented resins, then washed for a textured finish, and it is 50 percent recycled cotton. Raso Gommato is a cotton satin bonded to polyurethane; one source dates its debut to 1983 and another to 1984, which puts it in the early 1980s. David TC starts as a light, star shaped polyester layer that is sewn and garment dyed at high temperature, then given an anti drop treatment. Crinkle Reps NY is a technical nylon, listed as 100 percent polyamide with a polyurethane coating, and garment dyeing deepens its crinkle.
Nylon Prismatico TC and Panno have no spec sheet in Stone Island's release text. Hypebeast's German coverage describes the Prismatic Nylon TC as light refracting, and Highsnobiety reads the shade as a prismatic grey. Stone Island calls the whole set "engineered for continuous wear", with each fabrication a distinct version of the same model.
Tela Resinata Is the Version Already on Skepta
Tela Resinata is the NO SEASONS fabric that has already been seen on a body: Skepta wore the 41NS001 jacket in Stone Island's Community as a Form of Research series, shown October 19. The style code carries a hood, multiple pockets, adjustable cuffs, a drawcord hem and a concealed front two way zip, and Stone Island describes every fabric in the set as a version of that one model.
Stone Island describes the fabric as an evolution of Tela Stella, "the iconic fabric that marked the beginning of Stone Island". The 41NS001 resin canvas was the product page that landed on October 20, and the Skepta shoot the day before it. The October 21 presentation is the third step in that run and the first to put the other five cloths beside the one already worn on Skepta.
In that series Skepta answered Hans Ulrich Obrist's Question 66 of 100, "What is freedom?", with a line that sits oddly well beside a jacket built to ignore the calendar: "Freedom is something you have to work on." The campaign around this season has leaned on music throughout, with Fakemink in 4100002 reflective denim on October 17 as well.
1989 Did It First, and Milan Did It in a Pool
NO SEASONS began under Massimo Osti between 1989 and 1994 as one outerwear archetype iterated across the brand's most technical fabrics, with no seasonal colour changes. Osti founded Stone Island in 1982 and sold control to Carlo Rivetti in 1994, so the original project ended in the year he left. The 2026 return is billed by trade press as arriving 37 years after he first introduced it.
The first public showing of this edition was at Milan Design Week, where Stone Island installed it inside a disused swimming pool at Capsule Plaza, Via Achille Maiocchi 8, from April 20 to 26. The interior studio NM3 built the room from dry assembled, laser cut steel with no adhesives, and the full Milan installation is on record. Highsnobiety, looking at the set, called them six identical grey jackets at first glance. Stone Island's answer is that they are six versions of one model, each with its own surface.
That makes April's pool and October's film two ends of one launch. In April the six garments were an installation; on October 21 they became a clothing release with a film attached.
Selfridges Has the Launch and Japan Gets It in October
Selfridges in London carries the global launch of NO SEASONS during its Stone Island Corner Shop residency, which runs from September 21 to November 6, 2026. The residency is titled Selected Works '982 to '026, The Collector Series, and it is built around archive pieces lent by independent collectors. Pieces from that show already include the Liquid Reflective field jacket, and Glenn Kitson's portraits of eight collectors belong to that programme.
In Japan, Fashionsnap reports the range goes on sale from October through Stone Island's own stores and its official online store. No European or US release date has been confirmed in anything found for this piece, and Stone Island has not published a per fabric rollout.
The reading across the archive is plain. Stone Island has now spent October on denim research, a Frieze partnership and a collector show, and NO SEASONS asks to be judged on cloth alone: six fabrics, one colour, one outerwear archetype first run in 1989.
