Highsnobiety is #111 on the FO Pulse (2026-10-28 close), up 28 from the previous close.

Stone Island Junior's AW26 range has five pieces, led by the 4100011 reflective down jacket, which is coated with glass microspheres and airbrushed by hand after sewing so each one differs. The 4100006 uses Econyl regenerated nylon, the 4100005 uses recycled Cordura ripstop, and two garment dyed overshirts complete it.

Key Points

Stone Island Junior's Autumn Winter 2026 reflective down jacket is finished by hand after it is sewn. The 4100011 Hand Aged Plated Reflective is a hooded down jacket in nylon canvas, plated with a reflective coating and then airbrushed with matt pigments, so each coat leaves the workshop looking different from the next. Stone Island's own description calls it an artisanal process that makes each garment "unique and unrepeatable."

It is one of five Junior pieces in the season's range. The other four lean on recycled nylon, garment dyeing and cotton overshirts, which makes the airbrushed coat the piece that carries the most hand labor.

4100011 Is Colored After the Seams Are Closed

The 4100011 gets its color from an airbrush, applied to the finished garment. Stone Island sprays matt pigments by hand onto the made up jacket, and the color "glides across the fabric surface," in the brand's wording, which produces an irregular effect that no two coats share.

Pigment that goes on after assembly meets the seams, the folds and the hood as they are, and the brand describes the result as irregular. The down fill is certified to the Responsible Down Standard, the RDS mark listed on both down jackets in the range.

Thousands of Glass Microspheres in a Resin Bath

The reflective layer starts in the cloth. The nylon canvas is plated through a resin bath that carries thousands of glass microspheres, the beads that throw light back and give the jacket its reflective surface. The airbrushed pigment then goes over that coating, so the coat is reflective and hand colored at once.

The microsphere method has a long run at the label. The Liquid Reflective Field Jacket, article code 561541330, is hand sprayed with a coating of thousands of glass microspheres and baked dry. Stone Island dates it to Spring Summer 2012, while Highsnobiety files it under Autumn Winter 2011. The same microspheres appear in Dave's March 2026 tour camouflage and in the 13oz Hand Sprayed Reflective denim that reached Dover Street Market New York on October 1, 2026, where Skepta wears the 4100002 jacket.

Children's wear has carried the coating before. A Flannels listing for a Stone Island Kids reflective puffer, product code 603015, describes thousands of glass microspheres that light up under artificial or direct light. The listing carries no Hand Aged finish, so the airbrushed layer is what sets the 4100011 apart.

Nylon Metal Built From Nylon That Had Ended Its Life

The 4100006 is a hooded down jacket in Nylon Metal in Econyl regenerated nylon. Econyl yarns come from nylon at the end of its life, both pre consumer and post consumer, recycled through a complex depolymerization process into a fibre that Stone Island says keeps the intrinsic characteristics of nylon made from fossil raw material.

Stone Island presents the fabric as the evolution of an iconic material. The 4100006 appears twice in the range: once as the Nylon Metal jacket and once in a Garment Dyed version with a double colour recipe and an anti drop agent, again RDS certified. The anti drop agent already featured in the label's AW26 Dense Oxford Nylon TC jacket, which is garment dyed with it.

One caution on codes. Stone Island lists 4100006 for a different garment in its adult campaign, Stephen Graham's Laser Pigment Indigo Denim coach jacket, so the number alone does not name a piece without the fabric beside it.

Two Overshirts and a Cordura Hood Complete the Range

The remaining three pieces are the 1200001 and 1200002 overshirts and the 4100005 hooded jacket. The 1200001 is a zip up overshirt in stretch organic cotton broken twill, garment dyed with the OLD effect, an exclusive dyeing treatment followed by fading on the finished garment to give a slightly worn, three dimensional appearance. The 1200002 is a zip up overshirt in stretch cotton viscose corduroy, garment dyed.

The 4100005 uses CORDURA Advanced Fabrics ripstop in 100% recycled nylon 6.6. Its 30 denier Taslan yarns give it a matt appearance and a cotton like hand, and Stone Island calls the cloth lightweight yet extremely durable.

The season line, The Compass Inside, points back to the sleeve compass badge, which reproduces the wind rose compass from founder Massimo Osti's own sailboat and was adopted in 1982.

Five codes make the Junior range: one airbrushed reflective coat, one Econyl Nylon Metal jacket in two finishes, a Cordura hood and two overshirts. Only the 4100011 changes from one jacket to the next.
