Key Points

BAPE and SUBU are back for a third round on Saturday, October 31, 2026, and this time the Tokyo winter sandal brand is wearing ABC Camo in green, blue and pink. The BAPE × SUBU pieces go on sale that day at BAPE STORE and on BAPE.COM, with Kaneee featured in the campaign. BAPE's own line for the release is that SUBU's signature comfort meets ABC Camo, "built for colder days, styled for the streets."

It lands one day after the second wave of the Stray Kids collectibles, which makes October 31 the sixth BAPE partner release date since October 3.

Three Colors, One Camo, Two Stores

BAPE's announcement names three colorways, GREEN, BLUE and PINK, and a single pattern, ABC Camo, the print Nigo's label has used since the early 1990s. It names the date and the two places to buy, and it does not list the individual pieces, so the product count is still open until the drop. Sneaker coverage has described a BAPE STA release in ABC Camo with pink, green and blue options, which shows BAPE already treats that trio as a standard palette for the pattern.

The pattern itself is the oldest thing in the collection. Around September 1993, after Nigo opened the NOWHERE store in Ura Harajuku, the first camo and the ape head logo were printed on T shirts with help from the graphic designer SK8THING. Thirty three years on, the same print is the selling point of a winter shoe collaboration.

Face, Shoe, Pattern

Listings confirm two earlier BAPE × SUBU sandals. The first was the APE HEAD puffer sandal in black and brown, listed with a November 23, 2024 release date and now sold out on BAPE's Japan site. The second was the BAPESTA puffer sandal, dated January 3, 2026, a black pair that keeps the perforated toebox and the faux laces of the sneaker and came with a camo drawstring bag.

Read in order, the three rounds climb through BAPE's three signatures. Round one used the ape head, the logo. Round two used the BAPESTA, the shoe Nigo's label released in 2000 as its own take on the Air Force 1. Round three uses the camo, the pattern that came first in 1993. Each release has taken a deeper piece of BAPE's identity than the last, and ABC Camo is the one a customer can spot from across a street.

SUBU Spent Ten Years on One Question

SUBU is a Tokyo winter sandal brand founded in 2016, per the London retailer Stuarts, and 2026 is its tenth anniversary. This season's concept is "THE WINTER EVOLUTION," and the brand frames its first decade as an answer to a question nobody asked: do people need sandals in winter? The uppers are described as Teflon coated and water resistant, with a quilted, insulated lining.

The partner list is the part that explains BAPE's interest. SUBU has made winter sandals with A.P.C., Carhartt WIP and TOGA, and a NANGA version with AURORA TEX fabric aimed at camping. That is a brand that sells across fashion, workwear and outdoor gear.

Six Dates in a Month

October has been a stacked month for BAPE, and the SUBU date finishes it. The Crocs FW26 collection split across October 3 at BAPE Store and October 8 at Crocs, with Echo Clog 2 pairs in white and black covered in pastel ABC Camo. The BAPE STA 25th anniversary exclusive ran at ComplexCon LA on October 3 and 4. The Stray Kids second round opened with collectibles on October 17, and the UNDEFEATED varsity jacket followed on October 24 alongside BAPE CAMO mesh caps. A second Stray Kids wave arrives October 30, with an event at BAPE STORE DOSAN in Seoul.

Count the camo across those drops. Pastel ABC Camo on the Crocs clog, BAPE CAMO on the UNDEFEATED caps, ABC Camo in three colors on SUBU. Three different partners, three different product types, one print. BAPE is using the camo as the common thread in its partner calendar, and the SUBU release puts it on SUBU's winter line.

The temperature read: early. Stray Kids on October 30 and SUBU on October 31 put a K pop crowd and a winter sandal crowd on BAPE.COM back to back, and the store has to serve both within a day. The first round of the Stray Kids collection launched October 29, 2025, so BAPE has now run a full year of this partner rhythm, and the last date on this month's calendar is the one with the pattern Nigo printed first, in 1993.
