VANDY THE PINK PATCHES ITS DOUBLE KNEE DENIM FOR 11/11

Vandy The Pink's Patchwork Double Knee Denim goes on sale online on 11/11, which falls on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. The pair is covered in varsity patches, graphics and embroidered details over a vintage inspired wash, and the label says every patch tells a different story.

A label that built its name by remixing other people's logos is now stitching a whole library of them onto one pair of work pants. That is the angle worth watching, and the back catalog backs it up.

Wednesday, November 11, Online, No Price Yet

Patchwork Double Knee Denim is listed for an online release on 11/11, with no price, size run or retail partner announced. Online is the only confirmed channel, which is how the label has sold its home goods and its Chocolate Gel Kayano 12.1 this year.

The cut is a double knee pant, a workwear pattern that sews a second layer of fabric over each knee. Vandy The Pink has worked that pattern before. Feature sells the label's Double Knee Leather Shorts in black, a baggy synthetic leather short with double layer knees, a double pocket design and a cardholder tag. Feature also stocks KidSuper's Patchwork Face Double Knee Pant in brown multi, so a double knee pant covered in patchwork already has a place on that shelf. Vandy's version swaps the leather for a washed denim body and puts the story on the surface.

Junghoon Son Has Been Patching Other People's Marks Since 2017

Vandy The Pink was founded in 2017 by Junghoon Son, who moved from South Korea to attend George Mason University and began customizing sneakers because a restaurant job left no money for new pairs. He named the label after his mother's clothing store, the one she closed to raise him and his brother. Grailed traces his rise in the late 2010s to custom sneakers and bootlegged luxury logos, and CB Insights lists the company in Centreville, Virginia.

A patch is that move done in thread. Take a mark, change it, put it somewhere it was never meant to be. The label's varsity jackets, which Grailed counts among its signature pieces, carry burger and flower motifs, and one of them borrowed bootleg versions of the stickers on the bike in Akira. Patchwork has also shown up before on the label's SS22 hoodie, which Novelship resells in off white, and on a pair of patchwork denim shorts listed by the Tel Aviv shop Not For Sale. The 11/11 pair puts the technique on a double knee cut.

Son has talked about the long game. Complex headlined its Art Basel Miami interview with his words: "I Just Don't Want to be Going Crazy One Year and Then it Dies Out." A garment with a different story on every patch fits that stance, because it asks to be studied and not flipped.

Trading Cards, Ice Cream Sneakers, a Noodle Candle

Denim follows a run of loud releases. Hypebeast reported a trading card and summer streetwear capsule that debuted at a two day pop up at World's Union Square in San Francisco on June 5 and 6, 2026. The Vanilla ASICS GEL Kayano 12.1 followed on July 1, and the Cup Noodle Candle went up on July 10 on the label's own site, where the Chocolate Kayano also sold exclusively from August 8. The Vanilla pair reached Dover Street Market New York and the DSMNY E Shop on August 14.

The label also released a boot collection with Moon Boot in February 2026 and a merch collection tied to the McDonald's and Netflix KPop Demon Hunters meal, which Son discussed with Complex. Candles, sneakers, cards and meal merch are the label's loud objects. Patchwork denim moves the same appetite for graphics and references onto a pair of pants.

Patched Denim Is Landing in Waves This Month

Vandy is not alone. Acne Studios and Hussein Chalayan released a twelve piece capsule in mid October that includes patchworked 1996 and 2009 jeans, shot at the V&A East Storehouse beside Chalayan archive pieces. Carpet Company's Season 22 Drop 4, in store October 31 and online November 1, includes 50 Mile Jeans: 50 pairs of button fly raw denim driven around Baltimore, then reworked, repaired, patched and yarned, with every pair very different. Acne Studios, Carpet Company and Vandy The Pink are each selling denim that carries visible patching within about four weeks of each other.

That is a temperature read, not a prediction. Three brands with different customers have each put patched denim on sale this fall. Vandy's is the one built around the idea that each patch carries its own story.
