STONE ISLAND SOUND PRESSES KNOCKED LOOSE'S HIVE MIND VINYL

A milky green splatter twelve inch. Side A is Hive Mind, the Knocked Loose song built around a Denzel Curry verse. Side B is the instrumental, the version the band actually plays live. Stone Island Sound is pressing both to vinyl starting August 20, sold exclusively through eight of the brand's own stores and nowhere else.

That exclusivity is the point. Stone Island Sound is not a merch table bolted onto a band's tour. It is a listening program the brand has built slowly, and Knocked Loose is the second hardcore act it has backed in three years, not a one off collaboration of convenience.

Nylon Crinkle, Cotton Mesh, Double Dyed Black

Isaac Hale does not wear a normal band vest. For the Knocked Loose tour supporting Metallica, Stone Island built him one from Nylon Crinkle paired with cotton mesh, then double dyed the whole piece black so the two textures read as a single surface under stage lighting. It is a bespoke garment, not a retail item, and it says more about the relationship than any logo placement could. A brand does not sew a one off vest for a touring guitarist unless the arrangement runs past a single campaign cycle.

The same guitarist wore Stone Island's Nylon Reps TC Corrosion Treatment jacket in the FW25 Community as a Form of Research campaign, the ongoing interview series that recently put Seoul photographer Simjae in a mineral dyed cotton gabardine jacket. Corrosion Treatment is Stone Island's oxidized metal effect, dyed onto nylon so the fabric ages the way raw steel does outdoors. Hale went from campaign subject to bespoke stagewear to vinyl co signee inside about a year.

Stone Island Already Filmed This Story

The hardcore alliance predates Hive Mind by months. In August, the brand released THE CALM AND THE CHAOS, a documentary Isaac Lamb spent six months filming across Europe and North America, tracing the friendship between Angel Dust's Justice Tripp and High Vis's Graham Sayle and its pull on Hale and Haywire617's Austin Sparkman. A companion tour book follows in September 2027. Hive Mind is not a first touchpoint, it is the fourth: the FW25 campaign, the documentary, the coming book, and now a pressing sold only in Stone Island's own stores.

August 20. Eight Cities. One Pressing.

The vinyl ships August 20, 2026, sold at Stone Island stores in Milan, London, Paris, Los Angeles, Toronto, Miami, New York and Tokyo. Hive Mind itself is not new music dressed up for a drop. Knocked Loose released the song in February 2026, their first new material since 2024's You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To, and the track pushed their hardcore sound into rougher, more genre colliding territory by handing Denzel Curry a full verse instead of a guest scream. Stone Island Sound is the soundsystem credited in the behind the scenes footage the brand posted from the song's music video shoot, the same rig the band recorded through on set.

This Only Works Because the Band Was Already Touring In It

Denzel Curry and Knocked Loose spent part of 2026 on a co headline run that put a rapper and a hardcore band on the same bill night after night, the same pairing Hive Mind put on record. Hale was hit by a car in Zurich in May, mid tour, and kept playing through Bell's palsy rather than pull Knocked Loose off its undercard slot supporting Metallica across Europe. A brand does not buy that kind of commitment with a collaboration fee. Stone Island Sound gets to press the vinyl because the band was already wearing the clothes before anyone drafted a release plan, the same reason Gallery Dept's Josue Thomas could host a real vinyl release instead of a sponsored one.

Judge the pressing by what it is not. It is not a tour merch cash grab, and it is not a brand renting credibility for one drop. Stone Island has three years of documented hardcore coverage now, a bespoke vest built for one guitarist, and a documentary already finished before this record existed. Hive Mind on wax is a receipt, not a launch. Buy it for the song. The relationship behind it was never in question.
