140 grams of CO2 per kilometer is the number Lamborghini put in writing under its own Urus SE post this week, the same caption that called the SUV a partner for adventures with no destination. It is also, on paper, the cleanest number the brand has disclosed for any model in 2026.

140 Grams a Kilometer, Half the Revuelto's Number

Under weighted combined WLTP testing, the Urus SE draws 21.4 kWh of electricity and 5.7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, landing at 140 grams of CO2 per kilometer and a CO2 class of E. Run the battery to empty and the math changes fast: fuel consumption alone climbs to 12.9 liters per 100 kilometers and the CO2 class drops to G, a shorthand regulators reserve for the least efficient cars sold. Lamborghini disclosed a different number in May, when a caption marking World Bee Day also noted the Revuelto plug in hybrid still emits 350 grams of CO2 per kilometer and burns 15 liters per 100 kilometers. Both cars wear the hybrid badge. Only one of them can be plugged in.

The Battery Does More Than Cut Emissions on Paper

A 25.9 kilowatt hour lithium ion battery sits behind the WLTP numbers, good for roughly 37 miles of driving on electric power alone at speeds up to 80 miles per hour. Paired with a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8, the combined system produces 789 horsepower and 700 pound feet of torque, enough to send the Urus SE from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.4 seconds on the way to a 194 mile per hour top speed. Charging the pack from 20 to 100 percent takes 4 hours and 20 minutes on a standard connection. Lamborghini shelved plans for a fully electric SUV earlier in 2026, opting instead to lean further into the hybrid architecture the Urus SE already uses. That decision puts more engineering weight on numbers like 140 grams of CO2 per kilometer carrying the brand's efficiency case, instead of a battery electric model that has not shipped. None of that reads like a car built to save fuel. It reads like a car that saves fuel only when nobody is asking it to do anything else.

Runar Ingi Filmed a Mountain, Not a Parking Lot

Lamborghini and Dentsu Creative Italy built the Urus SE's launch film, Urus at its Peak, around a single question: how high can you push yourself. Director Runar Ingi shot the SUV climbing a stylized mountain instead of a track, using the ascent as a metaphor for a brand that keeps describing its own achievements as a starting point, not a finish line. That is the same idea behind this week's caption, which called the Urus SE a companion for adventures with no destination rather than a route to one. A supercar brand usually sells arrival. Lamborghini is currently selling the opposite.

Porsche Disclosed Its Own WLTP Number That Same Week

Lamborghini is not the only performance brand putting emissions data in a caption. Porsche's own Sportscar Together Day post carried WLTP figures for five cars in its footer that week, a format regulators effectively forced on every European manufacturer marketing a combustion or hybrid vehicle on social media. The difference is what the numbers say once they are there. A 140 gram Urus SE sits closer to a mainstream plug in hybrid SUV than to the V12 cars sharing its own showroom floor, which is the argument for building the SUV as a plug in in the first place.

630 Units Come in Gloss Black Whether You Order Them or Not

Lamborghini used Milano Design Week 2026 to reveal the Urus SE Tettonero Capsule, a run limited to 630 units worldwide carrying an 800 CV hybrid powertrain and more than 70 exterior configurations across six body colors and six accent liveries. Every one of them carries a gloss black Nero Shiny treatment across the roof, pillars, spoiler and exhaust tips, the one element buyers cannot option away. It is the kind of constraint Lamborghini's Ad Personam division builds entire cars around elsewhere in the lineup, and here it is bolted onto the version of the Urus SE that already has the cleanest paperwork in the range. Lamborghini has not priced the Tettonero premium, though the standard Urus SE starts between 252,000 and 281,000 dollars depending on market and model year.

A Super SUV posting its own WLTP numbers next to a phrase about having no destination is either honest marketing or a happy accident, and 140 grams of CO2 per kilometer against a sibling car's 350 makes the honest reading the more useful one. The Urus SE is the version of this lineup built to be driven every day, and the number Lamborghini put in the caption is the proof, not the disclaimer.
