Two combustion GT cars, one manual bodied Touring model, and two electric Taycans. That is the real cast list behind Porsche's Sportscar Together Day 2026, and it sits in the WLTP compliance footer, not the marketing copy above it. The event runs September 12 and 13 across all ten Porsche Experience Centers worldwide, and the five cars listed in that disclaimer explain more about where Porsche is spending its engineering attention than the caption above them ever will.

That gap between two sentences of marketing copy and five lines of regulatory disclosure is the actual story. It tells you which cars Porsche trusts to carry the brand into a driving weekend built on no format at all, and which one is still doing the convincing.

September 12 and 13, Ten Centers, No Required Car

Sportscar Together Day 2026 runs September 12 and 13, celebrated at the same time across all ten Porsche Experience Centers worldwide. There is no official way to take part: Porsche's own guidance names an organized club event, a local cars and coffee meetup, or a solo drive on a favorite road as equally valid, tied together only by the hashtag SCTD.

That flexibility is the point. The day does not require a Porsche badge, a track pass, or a specific car, only a drive and a photo, and Porsche Experience Centers from Atlanta to Shanghai are running their own local programming around the same weekend without the company dictating a single format.

Porsche Used This Same Footer Trick in August

Porsche used the identical WLTP footer trick on August 19, when it marked World Photography Day by tagging 36 community photography accounts instead of crediting a single photographer. The WLTP disclosure at the bottom of that post revealed the seven models actually shown across the post's ten images, the same disclosure method Sportscar Together Day repeats here with five cars.

Read together, the two posts describe a pattern. Porsche's editorial team writes the caption for the feed, and its legal team writes the actual manifest for anyone willing to scroll past the hashtags.

The Combustion Cars Still Outnumber the EVs

The five cars named in the Sportscar Together Day disclosure split three to two by propulsion type. The 911 GT3 RS returns a combined 13.2 liters per 100 kilometers and 299 grams of CO2 per kilometer, the 911 GT3 with the Touring Package comes in heavier at 13.8 liters and 312 grams, and the 718 Cayman GT4 RS posts the cleanest combustion figure of the three at 13.0 liters and 295 grams. All three sit in WLTP class G, the bracket for Porsche's naturally aspirated flat six cars.

Next to them are two Taycans. The GTS draws 20.1 to 17.7 kilowatt hours per 100 kilometers with zero tailpipe emissions, and the Turbo GT draws slightly more at 21.2 to 20.5 kilowatt hours, also at zero grams of CO2 and WLTP class A. Porsche did not fill the footer with five random cars. It picked its three loudest combustion halo cars and its two fastest production EVs, then put them on the same page for a day built around driving for its own sake.

Taipei and the Black Forest Got There First

Porsche formalized something that was already happening without its help. In April, 120 Porsches gathered in a Taipei parking lot for a meetup organized by the Porsche Club of Chinese Taipei, ranging from early transaxle 944s to a 918 Spyder, with no competition format and no factory involvement.

A month earlier, Porsche's own GT Circle ran fourteen 911 GT3 RS cars from the Black Forest to the Weissach research center, a factory organized version of the same pull. The same instinct put 1997 Formula One champion Jacques Villeneuve, at 55 years old, back in a race seat this year for six rounds of the Porsche Supercup, chasing the sportscar habit competitively instead of on a Saturday drive.

Sportscar Together Day began June 9, 2018, as a one off, three day tribute marking 70 years since Porsche's first sportscar. It has run every year since, and 2026 is the first edition to pair a caption that undersells the cars with a compliance footer that names exactly which ones matter.

The Footer Is the Actual Press Release

A 312 gram per kilometer GT3 Touring sitting inside the same five car disclosure as a zero emission Turbo GT is not an accident. It is Porsche telling regulators and readers, in the same breath, that both cars are still central to the brand in 2026, eight years after a one off anniversary stunt turned into an annual habit. Sportscar Together Day asks nothing of its audience except to drive, and the only real information about which cars Porsche wants people driving sits exactly where nobody reads first.
