Grey, Brown and Green Replace Beige and Black

The second wave swaps the debut's beige and black for three nature inspired earth tone colorways: grey, brown and green. Every pair keeps the Solid Camo pattern molded into the upper, the same construction BAPE used to open the Slide line three months earlier.

There is no logo patch fighting for attention here, no oversized ape head stitched onto the strap. The camo does the branding on its own, low contrast enough to read as texture from ten feet away and only resolve into the familiar shapes up close. The Italian compound is a closed cell expanded polyolefin foam supplied across performance and comfort footwear broadly, prized for weighing far less than standard sole material while still cushioning real impact rather than just looking soft in a press photo.

That is the same material logic driving the skate and running world right now, the kind of engineered midsole comfort visible in Nike SB's current Stella High rotation, where lightweight cushioning has become a selling point on its own, separate from graphics. A slide sandal borrowing that same foam family says BAPE is treating comfort tech as a real spec, not a marketing word.

The BAPE Slide second wave earns its spot in rotation.
