KEN CARSON CONFIRMS DESTROY LONELY ALBUM FOR OCT 30

Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely are finally getting a full length together, and Carson put a date on it. Complex Music's announcement reads "00Twinz 10.30," which places the joint album on October 30, four months after Carson's own solo record wrapped its rollout. The two have traded features and a mixtape for four years, but a shared full length is a different commitment than a guest verse, and this is the first time either artist has confirmed one on the calendar with an actual date attached.

Ken Carson And Destroy Lonely Have Done This Before

The two rappers already released a joint project once, an eight track tape called Opium Twins that came out October 16, 2022, back when both were still building their solo catalogs inside the Opium collective that Playboi Carti runs. That tape worked as a proof of concept: Carson's clipped, high tempo delivery and Lonely's syrupy, half sung vocal sit on the same beats without fighting each other, which is rarer between two rappers from the same camp than fans give it credit for. Three years and five combined solo albums later, the label is betting the same pairing scales to a full length instead of a quick tape.

Xperiment Already Told You Where This Was Heading

Carson's fifth solo album, Xperiment, arrived July 3, 2026 with 22 tracks through Opium and Interscope Records, and Destroy Lonely appears on the song Shopping. That feature was not a coincidence. Destroy Lonely told Complex earlier this year he was focused on finishing a collaborative project with Carson, and putting him on Xperiment kept the pairing visible while the full length was still being finished behind the scenes. Carson also brought Lonely out during his Rolling Loud Orlando set in May 2026, alongside Playboi Carti, Young Thug and Lil Tecca, the same set where he previewed an unreleased 2hollis production ahead of the album's July arrival.

The Sound Has Never Been The Problem

Xperiment leans on production from F1lthy, Art Dealer, Outtatown and 2hollis, pushing the low end past clean headroom and chopping vocal takes into stacked fragments instead of leaving them to sit flat over the beat. That is Carson's lane: distorted, rage indebted, built for a mosh pit. Lonely works from a softer palette, pitched and reverbed vocals over dreamier low end, the same instincts that carried his 2023 mixtape No Stylist. Two rappers from the same label running opposite ends of the same distortion pedal is exactly why Opium Twins worked in 2022, and it is the entire bet behind giving them a second album instead of another one off feature.

October 30 Is A Deliberate Distance From July

Carson released Xperiment at the start of July, and 00Twinz lands almost four months later, which is enough separation that the two projects are not competing for the same streaming week. That gap also gives Opium's promotional machine room to run two separate rollouts instead of splitting attention across them, a sequencing decision that matters more for a collective built on constant output than for artists who release once a year. Opium's calendar already stretches across Carti, Carson, Lonely, 2hollis and a rotating cast of in house producers, so spacing a duo album four months clear of a flagship solo release keeps each project from cannibalizing the other's first week numbers.

This Time It Is A Duo Album, Not A Guest Verse

Every previous Carson and Lonely pairing, from Opium Twins through the Shopping feature, has been building toward a project where neither artist is the guest. The fashion tie ins that ran alongside Xperiment's July rollout, including a Brain Dead capsule and Nike branded tour gear, give Opium a visual language already in place for whatever 00Twinz's campaign becomes. If the chemistry that worked in 2022 and again on Shopping scales past a handful of tracks, it confirms what the Opium camp has been arguing since both of them joined Carti's roster: their two voices were built to sit on the same beat, and October 30 is when they finally get a full album to prove it.
