DRAKE'S FOMO FILM PREMIERES ON YOUTUBE SEPTEMBER 15

Drake confirmed FOMO, a not so short film directed and scored by his family, premieres on YouTube September 15 at 9 PM ET.
Drake confirmed on September 12 that FOMO, the project he has been teasing since August, will arrive as "a not so short film directed and scored by the family" on September 15. The announcement came with a 24-second teaser built around a lime-green speedboat racing across open water before cutting to the stylized title Fear of Missing Out.
The rollout began quietly on August 21, when Drake posted an image of a CD jewel case stamped with the FOMO title and a camera emoji, giving no indication of what format the project would take. He confirmed a September 15 YouTube premiere at 9 p.m. ET on September 3, still without saying whether fans should expect an album, a documentary, or something else. The teaser lands during a stretch that has also included personal gestures, like when Drake gifted Sexyy Red a Birkin after the Cartier watch, part of a run of headlines that have kept him in the news well outside of new music.
The lime-green boat in the new teaser matches footage that had already circulated among fans from an earlier, unconfirmed shoot, effectively turning speculation into an early look at the finished production. Drake was also spotted filming near a Ferris wheel at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, wearing an Iron Man suit, and the same Ferris wheel emoji appeared in his September 3 announcement graphic.
The description "directed and scored by the family" points to a project built as much around visuals as music, though Drake has not said whether FOMO will include new songs or previously unreleased material. That ambiguity fits a pattern from his 2026 run, which has already produced three studio albums in ICEMAN, HABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR, plus surprise catalog reveals like when Drake debuted three unreleased ICEMAN songs at Don Toliver's Toronto show earlier this month.
FOMO premieres exclusively on YouTube at 9 p.m. ET on September 15, with no wider release details confirmed as of the announcement.
