COOPER FLAGG OPENS A TRADING CARD SHOP IN BANGOR

Cooper Flagg and his cousin opened a trading card shop in downtown Bangor, Maine, as his own rookie patch card auctions for up to $6 million.
Cooper Flagg and his cousin Tyler Flagg opened Flagg Trading Co. at 35 Main Street in downtown Bangor, Maine, on September 12, following a Friday night soft opening. Fans began lining up as early as 3 a.m., and Flagg worked the length of the line before cutting the ribbon around 10:15 a.m., handing out packs of cards and posing for photos along the way.
The shop's cases already carry the range collectors expect from a card store, from low-cost singles up to autographed Flagg cards tagged between $12,000 and $14,000. It fits a wider pattern of athletes moving from endorsement deals into retail ownership, following PLYRS UNTD, where NBA players took ownership stakes in the store itself.
Flagg's own card market carries an even bigger number. His one-of-one rookie patch autograph card is currently being auctioned through Fanatics Collect, with estimates ranging from $3 million to $6 million, adding to a year of headline-grabbing one-of-one cards that has also included UEFA's one-of-one debut patch card for its youngest Champions League players.
Flagg, a Newport, Maine native, led Nokomis Regional High School to a state title as a freshman before winning a national championship at Montverde Academy and becoming the first freshman named Naismith Men's Player of the Year during his lone season at Duke. Drafted first overall by the Dallas Mavericks in 2025, he went on to lead the team in points, rebounds, assists and steals as a rookie, earning NBA Rookie of the Year.
