CLOT's Superstar Anime Reaches Chapter Four With LNGSHOT

Chapter four of the adidas Originals x CLOT Superstar collection features LNGSHOT, the South Korean boy group, with anime by anchoponcho and Edison Chen's name on the shoe. It is titled moonwalkin' | not by a LNGSHOT, and it moves a story that began in January with Chen as a cartoon character from basketball to Korean pop. What it has not yet shown is a price, a release date or a colorway.

Chapter Four Puts a Four Member Group in the Frame

LNGSHOT is a South Korean boy group formed in 2025 under the label More Vision, with four members: Ohyul, Ryul, Woojin and Louis. The name comes from the phrase long shot, something with a low chance of success, and the chapter title plays on it. Sources differ on the group's debut date; one lists the EP Shot Callers on January 13, 2026, while another lists Training Day on March 23, 2026. By May the group had released the mixtape 4SHOBOIZ Vol. 2: 4SHOVILLE, with Jay Park, on May 18.

The anime credit goes to anchoponcho. The Superstar collection is billed as chapter four, a label that tells the audience this is a serial and that three installments already exist. Nothing in the sources reviewed describes the shoe itself for this chapter, so what follows is what the series established before it.

Edison Chen Entered the Story as a Key Master in January

The first chapter arrived with the Chinese New Year 2026 collection, announced on January 27, in which Chen stepped into an anime universe as a key master. adidas presented it as the opening of a multi part storytelling campaign running through the year. The headline piece was a CLOT Superstar with a cowhide upper and a horse hair print, plus leather lining and a leather midsole, timed to the Year of the Horse.

The previous Lunar New Year drop set the template. In January 2025 the pair released a snakeskin jacquard Superstar for the Year of the Snake, on January 16, and adidas called it the next chapter of the partnership. The difference in 2026 is that the chapters now carry numbers.

Anthony Edwards Took Chapter Three to Juicestore on July 25

The Superstar in white, brown and Unity Orange went on sale July 25, 2026 for $200 and was framed as chapter three of an animated campaign called The Moonshot, directed by the artist Annie Choi, with the NBA player Anthony Edwards starring. The leather is pebbled, the eyestays are serrated and the lace tips are gold. It sold through the CONFIRMED app, adidas.com and select retailers, and at the original Juicestore in Causeway Bay, the shop Chen opened in 2003 with 75 t shirts before CLOT existed as a label.

Chapter three was a basketball chapter. Chapter four swaps one athlete for four performers.

Three Years of Superstars, Counted

The partnership was unveiled at CLOT's 20th anniversary show during Shanghai Fashion Week, and the first shoe, a Superstar with hand stitched ridges in the shell toe, went on sale February 23, 2024. The second global drop, a black pair, followed in April 2024. In December 2025 adidas, CLOT and BAPE released a three way Superstar globally on December 5 for $220.

Since then the cadence has tightened. A Coffee colorway released March 7, 2026 at $200, according to Hypebeast. The Mundial Collection used World Cup visual language for a street audience, and the Samba Espadrille replaced the rubber sole of the adidas Samba with woven raffia on May 2 at $140, with a Football Club capsule following June 18. The sources reviewed do not say which of these is chapter two, so the numbering may follow the campaign's story rather than the release calendar.

Five Releases Across 2026 Before Chapter Four

In 2026 alone the sources show releases in March (the Coffee Superstar), May (the Samba Espadrille), June (the Football Club capsule) and July (Unity Orange), after the January Chinese New Year collection. CLOT was founded in 2003 by Chen with Kevin Poon and Billy Ip, and has worked with adidas since 2008, so the 2026 run is a late acceleration in a relationship that is eighteen years old.

LNGSHOT gives the cadence a younger, more global audience than a basketball chapter did. The group's handle, lngshot4sho, runs across Instagram, X, TikTok and YouTube, which is where a chapter titled moonwalkin' | not by a LNGSHOT will be read first.

No Price, No Date, No Colorway Yet

For the moment, the facts are the credits. Adidas Originals, Edison Chen, CLOT and LNGSHOT are named, anchoponcho made the anime, and the chapter is titled moonwalkin' | not by a LNGSHOT. The earlier chapters tell you where the price will probably land, since Unity Orange and Coffee both sat at $200 and the three way BAPE pair at $220, but that is a pattern, not a confirmation. Chapter four's shoe, its date and its retailers are the three things to confirm when adidas publishes them.
