A$AP Rocky Puts New Ray Ban Frames on the AWGE Runway

A$AP Rocky sent new Ray Ban aviators and elastic band frames down the AWGE runway at Paris's Accor Arena on September 30, 2026, the third Paris AWGE show to carry Ray Ban eyewear. The first, American Sabotage in June 2024, came about eight months before Ray Ban named Rocky its Creative Director in February 2025, so the glasses reached his runway before the title did. StyleRave and Hypebeast, the two reports that describe the new frames, give them no model name, price or release date.

The pairs were lightweight aviators with reflective lenses and colored frames fitted with elastic bands, which StyleRave counts as the third season of product development in the partnership. The show sat inside the final date of Rocky's Don't Be Dumb World Tour, and Complex reported it was set to begin at 6 p.m. local time with no separate fashion show tickets, so the runway belonged to concert ticket holders.

Mega Baloramas in 2024, Ultra Wraps in 2025, Aviators in 2026

Each AWGE show has put a different Ray Ban shape on the runway. At American Sabotage in June 2024, models wore Optical Olympia glasses from Ray Ban's 1960s archives and never before seen Mega Baloramas, a modernized variant of the Balorama wraparound, and Rocky closed the show in a Mega variant of the Wayfarer, according to The Source.

By the next show the title was official. Dazed reported on February 21, 2025 that Ray Ban had never had a creative director and that no major eyewear company had appointed the role before. Office Magazine reported on July 1, 2025 that models at Obligatory Fashion debuted eyewear from his next Ray Ban drops, and Highsnobiety reported that the Ultra Wrap 001, 002 and 003 frames reached Ray Ban's website on July 24, 2025 at $874 to $901. Ray Ban put the Metals collection on sale on February 19, 2026, a year into the job, with a Nas narrated campaign short inspired by the 1998 film Belly and, per Complex, prices of $202 to $249.

Rocky Explains Why the Wraparound Stays in Select Stores

Rocky laid out his thinking on restricted supply in V Magazine on March 3, 2026. "The Ultra Wrap is the Concept Car of the collection," he said when asked about the wraparound design.

Ray Ban's release for the Metals collection says the wraparound is sold exclusively in selected stores, and Rocky told V Magazine that keeps it with people who understand how to wear and style it. He described AWGE in the same interview as a full creative agency that builds worlds and marketing plans rather than single projects, and said the agency's job at Ray Ban is bringing its vision to the brand's heritage.

Gas Mask Coats, a Boat on the Runway and Louboutin Heels

AWGE Spring/Summer 2027 was titled Anti War Global Economics and ran on military codes, with layered tactical vests, trench coats, a deep red gas mask long coat and gold embroidered marching band jackets, according to Hypebeast and StyleRave. Numero reported a huge military boat at the center of the runway and a look that paired a hybrid trench and bulletproof vest with a jerrycan shaped handbag.

The streetwear half of the collection came as wraparound plaid skirts, triple stacked boxers worn above the waistband, shiny leather belt bags, AWGE ammo boxes and bespoke printed denim sets, per StyleRave. Glossy leather capes and oil dipped headwear ran through the show, and longtime stylist Matthew Henson collaborated on the collection.

Christian Louboutin supplied the women's footwear, army boots walked the arena floor, and Puma sneakers appeared as well. Numero placed Pharrell Williams, Rihanna and Tina Kunakey in the front row, and StyleRave described Rihanna in an AWGE leather jacket.

Manchester on September 4, Milan on September 10, Paris on September 30

Puma released Rocky's Don't Be Dumb football kits in Manchester on September 4 and 5 and in Milan on September 9 and 10, each tied to the tour stop in that city, and the AWGE runway followed on September 30. Manchester's concert was on September 5 and Milan's on September 10, according to Puma's media hub.

The Manchester City kit sold only in the city, at a one night pop up called Don't Be Dumb Caff and then at the stadium store the next morning, with no online sale. Paris got a runway instead of a jersey, which fits an album that StyleRave says came out in January 2026, was Rocky's first studio album in eight years and debuted at number one in seven countries.

The 2025 Ultra Wrap frames reached Ray Ban's website on July 24, 2025, weeks after their runway, while the September 30 aviators and elastic band frames had no model name, price or release date in StyleRave or Hypebeast.
