Acne Studios marked its 30th anniversary in New York with an intimate house party inside a private West Village residence during fashion week, choosing a living room over a runway to close out three decades in business. It is the kind of milestone the house has leaned into all year, including when Acne Studios traced its 30 years to the 100 jeans it gave away to strangers at its Stockholm store. The night centered on music, opening with a live performance from 070 Shake, followed by a set from Fcukers and a DJ turn from Papi Juice, staged beneath a 1984 untitled painting by Francesco Clemente.

The guest list leaned toward the label's long-running art and music circle rather than a straight fashion crowd, including Troye Sivan, Peter Schlesinger, Rosanna Arquette, Jemima Kirke, Florian Krewer, Ego Nwodim, Francois Arnaud, Iris Law, Chloe Wise, Alex Knost, Zsela, Leon Bridges, and Ben Quinn. Photographer Julius Frazer shot the evening.

The anniversary lands weeks after Acne Studios opened its second New York store, at 82 Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District, beside the High Line and directly across from the Whitney Museum. Creative director Jonny Johansson designed the space with longtime architecture collaborator Halleroed, adding pink granite floors, Max Lamb-designed seating, and a street-facing Acne Paper library alongside the brand's Greene Street flagship.

Acne Studios started as an independent creative project in Stockholm in 1996 before growing into an international house that still ties its collections to photography, art, and music. That same instinct for keeping its output personal and small-batch showed up recently when Acne Studios shrank its $295 Frederic Malle scent into a $90 travel bottle, a scaled-down version of a much larger idea.
