Oakley Cut the Scar From Mixed Materials in 2001
The Scar is Oakley's original mixed material frame from 2001. Its O Matter shell meets a metal hinge at the joint, and SATISFY reworks that silhouette in X Silver Metal and Falcon.
The vented Prizm lenses are exclusive to the collaboration and are tuned for contrast and clarity. SATISFY and Oakley describe the result as "One relic, carried forward from the archive into the present." The Scar is eyewear in a season when Oakley has also been moving from glasses into garments.
Chapter VI Also Put Eyewear Up Front
Chapter VI of Equipment for Our World was built around the Oakley Stunt Devil eyewear. Chapter VIII goes back to an Oakley frame, this time one with 25 years of history behind it.
SATISFY also has a women's fall kit with Molly Seidel in the same stretch of the calendar. Chapter VIII drops October 13.
