MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon Reload XT MM6 October 22

MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon release their Fall Winter 2026 collection on October 22, and the XT MM6 leads it. The collection sells on the MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon websites, in their stores and through selected retail partners, and the brands introduce it with two London creatives, Deion and Cheuk, wearing the shoe.

Third Window in Twelve Months

October 22 is the third time in a year that the two houses have opened a release window. The first came in October 2025, when StockX lists the Vanilla Ice XT MM6 with a release date of October 16 and Hypebeast called the range a newly designed XT collection. The second came in late April 2026, when the Black XT MM6 carries a StockX release date of April 29, as part of a spring collection of five sneakers and a co branded backpack anchored by three XT 6 builds.

WWD reported that spring collection arriving at retailers as the latest Salomon and MM6 sneaker collaboration, and the gap between each window and the next has been about six months, which puts the pair on a seasonal rhythm. According to DesignScene's October 19 preview, the Fall Winter 2026 collection arrives in two drops. The first is October 22, and the XT MM6 comes back in new colorways, among them a multicolored pair and a deep urban green.

Three New Names Around the Old One

The XT MM6 is no longer alone on the table. DesignScene lists the debut of the MM6 CROSSDERBY, an MM6 XT Boot, new colorways of the ACS PRO 3 and the return of the XT 15 Backpack. That is a derby, a boot, a trail runner and a bag from a partnership that began with a single silhouette.

The ACS Pro has a recent history of its own. A Cold Wall, the label founded by Samuel Ross, put the ACS Pro on HBX in July with a floating cage structure, asymmetric lacing and a Matryx Kevlar mesh upper, so the MM6 colorways arrive on a model that a second design house has already rebuilt this year.

Built for Ultrarunners, Worn by Two Londoners

The XT 6 under the MM6 treatment began as 2013 S/LAB trail hardware developed with ultrarunners including Kilian Jornet, and Salomon moved it into the Sportstyle range in 2018. Salomon now counts it among the icons of its Storm Collection, alongside the Speedcross and the XA Pro. That rebrand sits inside a Sportstyle calendar in which the XT platform had been restyled at least five times since June by September 10.

A shoe designed for mountain distance now ships as a Margiela item, and the campaign puts it on Deion and Cheuk, two creatives who live in London. The XT 6 carries a Contagrip Mud outsole and an EnergyCell midsole, built for loose ground and long hours, and the casting puts that hardware on pavement. The campaign copy credits the two by first name and says only where they live and what they wear, which leaves the shoe to carry the story.

Salomon Has Put Out Six Other Releases Since July

The MM6 collection lands in a crowded Salomon Sportstyle calendar. Between July 1 and September 15, Salomon and its partners released the A Cold Wall ACS Pro, the Race Flag XT 4 pack on July 21, Kith's XT EVO on August 7, the mainline XT EVO on September 2, the Undefeated Domingo XT 4 on September 10 and the Snowclog reissue on September 15. The Storm Collection coverage noted in July that MM6 had previewed a separate Salomon collaboration for Summer 2026.

Margiela is the odd name in that list. The label has moved through streetwear too, with a Supreme collection on March 19 that carried a shearling bomber and the first zip up Box Logo hoodie in Supreme's 32 year history. Its Salomon work is the quieter track: one shoe, redone each season, with no logo war attached.

MM6 Maison Margiela is the diffusion line of Maison Margiela, which Martin Margiela founded in 1988. It has now used the XT platform across three windows. The October 22 lineup, as DesignScene lists it, spreads that work over a sneaker, a boot, a derby, a trail runner and a backpack, so the shoe that started the partnership now shares a launch with four other products.
