The collection opened for preorder on July 2 at 4pm ET and has since moved into general availability, an eight piece run built around a custom letterman jacket, a baseball cap, a keychain, a stamp graphic and a t shirt.

The timing is not an accident either. 2026 marks the two hundred fiftieth year since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and HBO scheduled a Larry David satire about the country's founding myths for the same calendar year the country is throwing itself a party. A capsule that turns that anniversary into a keychain and a letterman jacket is a small, cynical joke, and it is exactly the kind of joke KidSuper has built a decade of collections around.

The Same Writers Room That Ran Curb Wrote This Show

Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness was created by Larry David and Jeff Schaffer, the same Schaffer who wrote, directed and executive produced Curb Your Enthusiasm from its fifth season onward. That is the actual link between Curb Your Enthusiasm and a comedy about colonial America, and it runs through the writers room, not the merchandise.

Schaffer built his reputation on Curb's set by feeding actors alternate lines mid scene, keeping dialogue loose enough that a short outline could survive an improvised detour. The show premiered June 26 and the season closes in early August, which means the capsule's general availability window overlaps with roughly half the remaining episodes. He has previously worked with the Rolling Stones, Elton John and Joey Bada$$, and he co manages Baller League USA's Super Ninos FC alongside J Balvin, so a capsule tied to a scripted television show fits a pattern rather than breaking one. That same range showed up when KidSuper narrowed a limited BAPE Bapesta run to a single July 19 restock date, treating a sneaker collab with the same small batch urgency as a television capsule. Dillane runs a label, a sneaker calendar and a costume department out of the same Brooklyn building, and none of the three get treated as a side project.

Buy the letterman jacket if that guest list already sold you, not because the colonial keychain is some deep cut.
