Jordan Tatum 5 Sunrise Starts a Three Pair Rollout

The Jordan Tatum 5 "Sunrise" is available now, and it is the first of at least three pairs Jordan Brand has lined up for Jayson Tatum's fifth signature shoe. It reached China on September 24 and US retailers on October 15, and the next two colorways, Sunset and Laser, are already known. The earlier report on the US release covered the shoe itself, and the calendar behind it is now clear enough to read.

Sunrise, Sunset, Laser

Sunrise carries the style code IO1746 401 and is built on Bright Concord purple, with Urban Lilac and China Rose pink on the side panels and under the strap. A grade school version, IO1744 401, ships beside it. Sunset follows in Holiday 2026 with a mostly black upper and red and orange accents that evoke a Boston sunset, and its tongues reference Tatum's sons. Laser was shown at a media preview with tattoo inspired graphics and has no date. Coverage says further colorways are expected in 2027 and names none of them.

The names form a day: sunrise, sunset, and a night pair held back. Jordan Brand is selling the shoe the way a film studio sells a trilogy, with the first installment in stores before the second has a date on a shelf.

September 9 to October 15 Is 36 Days

Jordan Brand unveiled the Tatum 5 on September 9, 2026. China received it on September 24, 15 days later, and the US got it on October 15, 21 days after China. From reveal to US shelf is 36 days.

China went first, and the gap is long enough that US buyers had three weeks of Chinese retail photos before they could buy. Sunset's Holiday 2026 window then leaves Sunrise as the only Tatum 5 colorway on a US shelf until the holidays.

Four Retailers, Three Sizes

Most sources list the adult Sunrise at 125 dollars, with one outlet, House of Heat, listing 130 dollars. The grade school pair is listed at 100 dollars and one source puts a kids version at 95 dollars. Retail sources name Nike, Foot Locker, Dick's Sporting Goods and Hibbett, and the release runs through Nike.com and Jordan Brand retailers.

The gap between the adult and grade school pairs is 25 dollars. A StockX listing showed a lowest ask around 155 dollars and a last sale of 198 dollars at the time of one snapshot, which puts early resale 30 to 73 dollars above retail for the adult pair. Those numbers are one reading on one day and will move.

Three Colorways, One Set of Parts

Every pair in the sequence shares the same build, and Jordan Brand has been most specific about it. The shoe adds a strap across the upper that Jordan Brand describes as "containment without unnecessary weight," a 10mm forefoot Zoom Air unit and a HART 2.0 rubber outsole with a herringbone pattern. Tatum told Complex that the five lines on the right heel acknowledge the scar from his Achilles injury. The heel clip is shaped like his number 0 and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, his hometown.

Those marks are why the colorway names matter. The parts stay constant across Sunrise, Sunset and Laser, so what changes between pairs is the paint: purple and pink now, black with red and orange at the holidays, and tattoo graphics later. A buyer choosing between them is choosing a mood, not a different shoe, and the 25 dollar step down to the grade school pair buys the same sunrise colorway in a smaller size.

A Roster That Changed Around the Shoe

The shoe arrives on a different Boston team. The Celtics traded Jaylen Brown to the 76ers on July 1, 2026, for Paul George and four draft picks, which leaves Tatum as Boston's lead star and the face of Jordan Brand's basketball launch. Jordan Brand's October also included the Air Jordan 1 High OG Royal on October 10, a retro in smooth leather, while the Tatum 5 is the new design of the month.

Tatum's return from the Achilles rupture took almost ten months, and Sunrise is the first pair in a sequence that will run past the 2026 holidays into 2027. For buyers the position today is plain: Sunrise is on shelves, Sunset has a season, and Laser has no date.
