Morrison Skied Everest's North Face in October 2025
Jim Morrison became the first person to ski the Hornbein Japanese Couloir on Everest's North Face in October 2025, a line of about 9,000 feet. In October 2018 he and fellow North Face athlete Hilaree Nelson made the first ski descent from the summit of Lhotse.
After Nelson died on Manaslu in 2022, Morrison returned to Everest to finish a project they had planned together.
800 Fill ProDown and Spectra Ripstop
The Summit Nuptse is insulated with 800 fill water repellent ProDown in an offset baffle construction, according to T3. Its yoke, collar and hood use Spectra ripstop for abrasion resistance.
