GPT 6 ASTRA CLEARS ALL 48 LEVELS OF NEAL.FUN'S ROBOT TEST

Astra beat every level of Neal.fun's "I'm Not a Robot" game, according to a video OpenAI engineer Sharif Shameem posted on September 7, 2026. The clip shows GPT 6 Astra clearing all 48 stages of the browser test built to prove a user is human, and it did it by reading the screen and controlling the mouse and keyboard itself.

That is a bigger deal than the video looks like. A test built specifically to keep software out is now something software can pass end to end, and the site that built it will have to redesign the whole premise.

Forty Eight Levels, One Continuous Run

Astra cleared all 48 levels of the game built by developer Neal Agarwal, who released "I'm Not a Robot" in September 2025 specifically to separate humans from automated agents. The levels start as ordinary checkbox and image style CAPTCHAs, then escalate into parking a Waymo with arrow keys, solving chess puzzles, typing text that rotates in 3D, and hitting rhythm game style timing cues.

Shameem, who works on OpenAI's Labs team, wrote that Astra beat all 48 levels of the game, and the clip he posted had drawn 2.4 million views within a day. Astra did not use a script written for this specific game. It used the computer use ability OpenAI has been building into the model since launch, reading what is on screen and clicking, typing, and dragging the way a person would. OpenAI has been racing to ship computer use improvements all year, partly because Anthropic's Claude has been closing the usage gap, and a viral CAPTCHA clip is the kind of proof point that resets the conversation about which lab is ahead.

GPT 6 Astra Already Cleared a Cyber Red Line

GPT 6 Astra launched on September 3, 2026, four days before the Neal.fun clip, and it arrived already flagged. The model scored 100 percent on OpenAI's ExploitBench and became the first OpenAI model to trip the company's Critical threshold for cyber capability, a marker OpenAI itself uses to decide when extra safeguards kick in. Cofounder Greg Brockman called the release a generational leap and said the AGI era has begun.

Kalshi traders are not fully convinced yet. The exchange currently prices a 62 percent chance that some company formally announces AGI before the first quarter of 2027 ends, which means the week that produced a viral CAPTCHA clearing video did not move the number all the way to certain. The chess puzzle stage alone is the same kind of test that made computers superhuman at the sport decades ago, just wrapped in a browser game instead of a tournament hall.

None of that means the underlying CAPTCHA problem is solved for anyone but OpenAI. Astra ran on OpenAI's own hardware with full computer use access, not the sandboxed browser most bot detection systems expect to fight. But the site that invented the test to prove a visitor is human just watched a language model finish it in one sitting, and the next redesign of "I'm Not a Robot" will have to assume the robot already won.
