BUGATTI TOURBILLON ROLLS INTO THE MARBELLA CONCOURS

Bugatti has brought the Tourbillon to Marbella for the Concurso de Elegancia Costa del Sol, putting its V16 hybrid hypercar on a field of more than 150 vehicles. The event runs October 1 to 4, and Bugatti is Main Partner for the second year in a row.

Bugatti describes the setting as "vibrant streets of Marbella, winding roads, Andalusian sun."

F.K.P. Hommage Makes Its Concours Debut

Bugatti is showing the F.K.P. Hommage at a concours d'elegance for the first time, next to the Tourbillon. Prototypes that have not been shown before are in the Bugatti lineup too, along with the Chiron and the Veyron.

The field around them is a collector crowd, with more than 250 international collectors attending. It is a different kind of room than a launch event, closer to the world of a 1973 Porsche 911 2.4 S that a dealer delivered new and a buyer now keeps.

1,800 Horsepower, Judged by a 24 Person Panel

The Tourbillon pairs an 8.3 liter V16 developed with Cosworth with three electric motors, for 1,800 horsepower combined. Bugatti limits production to 250 examples worldwide.

A 24 person international panel judges the field. It includes Fabrizio Giugiaro of Italdesign, Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance president Vince Finaldi and former Petersen Automotive Museum director Ken Gross. The four day program also has a private track day at the Ascari Club Circuit and a closed runway demonstration at Gibraltar Airport, a first for the event.

Bugatti will build 250 Tourbillons in total, and Marbella is showing the car alongside two of its predecessors.
