Awake NY tagged the same person, xtramoney131, in three separate Instagram posts across four days: the August 14 blueberry teaser, an August 16 gathering the brand called Community Unboxing, and the August 17 credits list for the full Jordan 6 collection reveal captioned Built Outside The System. That repetition is not a stylist credit passed around for courtesy. In the Community Unboxing caption, Awake NY explained its own thinking, writing that it wanted to recontextualize the process of unboxing after what it called a tough year of loss, and asking followers to give their loved ones a hug that day before returning to product photography the next morning. Awake NY treats its Lower East Side regulars as vouches on a shoe launch the same way it treats a graffiti studio or a stylist, naming them in the caption before the product photo even confirms a release date.

Midnight Navy Covers The Heel, Game Royal Covers The Forefoot

Jordan Brand's own listing for style code IQ5706 400 puts Midnight Navy through the heel, collar, lining and rear panel, then runs Game Royal and Light Blue nubuck across the forefoot and midfoot for contrast, with Infrared 23 and red stitching hitting the lace toggle and heel pull. FO's own report on the Playful Pink teaser described the follow up pair as suede; Jordan Brand's official listing calls the upper nubuck instead, a correction worth making before the second pair ships. That is four blue tones on one upper, the same four tone formula Awake NY used on the Playful Pink pair FO covered in August, and the block A logo sits in the identical midfoot cage placement both times, the spot the brand has used on every Jordan collaboration since the partnership started. Awake NY's own Instagram overruled it two days later, announcing a Park Jam at Seward Park on Saturday, August 22, with a wider EQL raffle following August 23 and an in store only release in New York City on August 24. The pink pair now leads a full week earlier than first reported, and it leads with a public park event instead of a raffle link, the same choice the brand made when it split its Air Jordan 5 Bubblegum Pink between an online raffle and a store only drop the next day.
