WORLD CUP 2026 WEEK 1 SCHEDULE STARTS JUNE 11

The 2026 FIFA World Cup opens Thursday at 1 pm local at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City against South Africa. The Azteca becomes the first stadium in history to host three different opening matches, after 1970 and 1986. The host fanbase carries the building. The visiting side has to play through it.
