CORTEIZ AND SLAWN TEASE A CAPPADOCIA BALLOON REUNION

Slawn posted a hot air balloon teaser from Cappadocia, Turkey, wrote look out below, and gave up nothing else. Corteiz and Slawn are up to something again, and that caption is the first receipt of it.

This partnership already has one violent, viral film to its name, made in December 2022, which is why a random Turkish valley is anything but random.

December 2022. A Jacket. A Taxi Roof.

Corteiz cast Slawn as the lead of DA SKYDIVE, a mini film built around a thirty piece winter collection. Directed by Walid Labri and Corteiz founder Clint Ogbenna, the film drops Slawn from the sky over central London until he lands on the roof of a taxi wearing the jacket the collection was built to sell. The film won recognition at the D&AD awards the following year and became one of the most shared pieces of Corteiz's early output. It did not sell a jacket by photographing the jacket. It sold the jacket by turning Slawn into the punchline of an actual physics joke.

Cappadocia Was Never a World Cup Tour Stop

Corteiz spent six weeks on its RULESTHEWORLDCUP TOUR, eleven pop up cities between June 5 and July 10, 2026, each tied to a national team still alive in the tournament: England, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Morocco, Ghana, Mexico and the United States. Turkey was not on that list, and the tour closed the day before Slawn posted the balloon teaser. Clint Ogbenna's whole approach, the one behind the reminder tee he has run for years, rewards patience and unannounced left turns like this one. A Cappadocia stop reads less like a twelfth city and more like Corteiz picking the one landscape built for exactly one kind of image: something falling out of the sky. Cappadocia's sunrise balloon flights over its volcanic rock valleys are already some of the most photographed images in travel, which means Corteiz gets a ready made backdrop before a single logo shows up in frame.

Look Out Below Is Not a New Line

Slawn's caption reads coming soon to Cappadocia hot air balloon in Turkey, look out below, and that closing phrase is doing more work than it looks. In 2022, the entire premise of DA SKYDIVE was Slawn falling from altitude until whoever was underneath had to look out. Three years later, a hot air balloon over a valley famous for exactly that kind of aerial imagery is the same joke told at a bigger scale. Corteiz did not invent a new bit for this teaser. It rebooked the old one somewhere the sky itself does the marketing.

Slawn Already Has a Nike Kit This Year

This is not Slawn's only 2026 crossover. Nike put him on the Nigeria national team's CryoShot kit for the World Cup cycle, in a lineup that also included Drake's NOCTA for Canada, G Dragon's PeaceMinusOne for South Korea and Jacquemus for France, putting a London based Nigerian street artist in the same release slate as multi platinum musicians. Slawn's 2026 already runs through football kits, gallery shows and a restaurant he named after his son. A UK streetwear reunion just adds another lane. He is not being cast as a model in these deals. He is being used as a signature, the way a producer tag gets stamped across songs that otherwise sound nothing alike.

Zero Products Shown, One Location Given

Corteiz has run this exact withholding before. Its Sunday 7pm teaser for the World Cup tour showed no product at all and still generated its own coverage cycle. Cappadocia gets the same treatment: a place, a returning partner, a callback line, and nothing anyone can buy yet. That withholding is the actual business model, and it works because the audience already holds four years of receipts that the payoff eventually lands.

A hot air balloon teaser with zero product shown is a bet that history between Corteiz and Slawn is enough currency to carry a caption alone. It is a safe bet. Expect the drop to lean back into the fall, whether that lands as a parachute, a balloon basket release, or another literal object hitting the ground, because Corteiz has never walked away from a bit that already worked once.
