Virgil Abloh Post Modern Scholarship Closes October 12

Applications for the 2027 Virgil Abloh Post Modern Scholarship close October 12, 2026 at 11:59 a.m. EST, one week from today. Virgil Abloh established the program with the Fashion Scholarship Fund in 2020 to support Black students pursuing careers across fashion through college scholarships, mentorship, professional development and access to career opportunities.

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors at Four Year Schools

Eligible applicants are full time sophomores, juniors and seniors attending four year colleges and universities in the United States. New Post Modern Scholars are selected through the Fashion Scholarship Fund's annual Case Study Competition, so the application runs through the Fund rather than the Virgil Abloh Foundation.

Sotheby's Offered Four Abloh Prints for a Scholarship in July

Sotheby's New York offered four Abloh screen prints from 2015 in its Contemporary Discoveries auction, which ran through July 14, in a sale framed around a University of Wisconsin scholarship. Earlier, on June 1, Shannon Abloh filed the Virgil Abloh Foundation's first institutional record, Archive Code VAF.2026.IR01.

The Post Modern Scholarship is the older of these efforts, established in 2020.
