PSG PLAYERS HAVE SCORED FOR FIVE COUNTRIES AT THE WORLD CUP

Thirteen goals. Five countries. Eight different national team shirts with a Paris Saint Germain paycheck underneath the fabric. Through the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, PSG's current roster has produced more individual goalscorers than any club has ever sent to a single tournament, and Tuesday's semifinal slate has not even finished separating them yet.

It is a scouting department getting paid off in real time, on the sport's biggest stage, by players PSG signed for very different reasons at very different prices. When one club's transfer dealings show up as goals for France, Morocco, Portugal, Senegal and Spain in the same six weeks, that is not talent. That is leverage.

Five Goals, Three Matches, One Hat Trick

Ousmane Dembele leads every PSG player at this World Cup with five goals across three matches. He opened the account in the 66th minute of a France 3 0 win over Iraq on June 22, then produced a first half hat trick against Norway on June 26, finishing in the 7th, 20th and 32nd minutes, the second fastest hat trick in World Cup history behind Erich Probst's 24 minute salvo for Austria in 1954. Desire Doue Finishes What Dembele Started

Desire Doue has one World Cup goal, but it closed out the same match Dembele opened with a hat trick. Norway had pulled one back through Thelo Aasgaard to make it 3 1, and Doue headed home in second half stoppage time, at the 90+4 minute mark, to make the final score France 4 1 Norway. It was his first ever World Cup goal, and it meant two PSG attackers combined for every French goal in that match. Bradley Barcola has two of his own, scoring in the 82nd minute of a 3 1 win over Senegal on June 16 and the 53rd minute of a 3 0 win over Sweden on June 30.

Hakimi Punched First in a Match That Swung Four Times

Achraf Hakimi's lone goal came inside the wildest scoreline of the tournament for a PSG player. Morocco trailed Haiti 1 0 on an own goal by goalkeeper Bono in the 10th minute, and Hakimi equalized in the 39th. Haiti responded through Isidor before halftime to lead 2 1, Morocco tied it again through Ismael Saibari in first half stoppage time, and the Atlas Lions pulled away to win 4 2 in the second half. Hakimi threw the first punch in a fight that changed hands four times.

Portugal Needed Two Different Scorers to Survive Two Scares

Portugal needed two separate PSG goals to get through two separate scares in group play. Joao Neves headed Portugal in front in the 6th minute of the tournament opener against DR Congo, a match that still finished 1 1 after Yoane Wissa's stoppage time equalizer gave the Congolese their first ever World Cup point. Six days later, Nuno Mendes struck a free kick in the 17th minute of a 5 0 rout of Uzbekistan, a result remembered for Cristiano Ronaldo's brace more than the PSG left back's set piece.

Mbaye Is Younger Than the Record He Broke

Ibrahim Mbaye is 18 years and 143 days old, younger than the record he broke to score it. The PSG forward beat Theo Hernandez off the dribble and drilled a shot past Mike Maignan in the 90+5 minute against France, the goal that made France 3 1 Senegal instead of a shutout, and it made him the youngest African goalscorer in World Cup history, surpassing Moussa Wague's mark set in 2018. Fabian Ruiz is the newest name on the list. His 30th minute finish off a parried Dani Olmo shot put Spain up in a 2 1 quarterfinal win over Belgium on July 10, his first World Cup goal and his seventh international goal overall. Spain now plays France on Tuesday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, which means two PSG paychecks will try to eliminate two others for a place in the final.

This Is Not Luck. This Is a Front Office Getting Paid.

Depth alone does not prove a smarter front office. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich carry deep rosters too, and any club with enough talent should eventually produce scorers across multiple federations by volume alone. But the previous benchmark for goalscorers from one club at a single World Cup was seven, shared by Bayern Munich in 2014 and Barcelona in 2018. Eight PSG shirts have already beaten that mark with a semifinal still to play.
