OLIVER TREE, ALIEN BOY SINGER, DEAD AT 32

## A loud voice goes quiet Oliver Tree, the singer, comedian, and internet provocateur behind Alien Boy and Life Goes On, has died at 32. He was among six people killed when two helicopters collided over Rio de Janeiro on June 14, 2026, according to multiple reports including CNN Brasil. ## More than the bit Oliver was a sharp marketer with rare comedic timing and an irreverent style. Whether in his signature bowl cut, sunglasses, and puffer jacket or one of his many reinventions, he knew how to make a moment land. The persona was loud on purpose. But the music was never the punchline. Life Goes On, Hurt, and the rest revealed a real hitmaker underneath the costume, an artist who took melody and craft seriously even while keeping the audience laughing. At the time of his death he was touring behind his fourth album, Love You Madly, Hate You Badly, released this April, having performed in Sao Paulo on June 6. ## What he leaves Oliver Tree spent his career blurring the line between sincerity and satire, and he made that tension feel like pop.
