MIU MIU REBUILDS THE NEW BALANCE RC150 FOR SS27

The Miu Miu New Balance RC150 made its debut on the Spring/Summer 2027 runway in Paris, a reconstruction of the racing sneaker in the fifth year of the two brands' collaboration. It is a lightweight 1990s runner from the New Balance archive, taken apart and rebuilt in technical mesh.

Laces Knotted Loosely Through Metal Hoops

Miu Miu moved the lacing to the outside of the RC150. Contrast laces are knotted loosely at the toe through external metal loops, a refreshed take on the house double lacing system. The name points to a weight of 150 grams, and the mesh body keeps the original's minimal shape.

It follows the Bubble sneaker Miu Miu built on a contradiction for Fall 2026, which also started from an old archive shape.

A Purple Track Inside the Palais d'Iéna

Miu Miu turned the Palais d'Iéna into a sporting arena for the show, with spectator stands and a purple floor that recalled an athletics track. Gigi Hadid closed the show and walked in the RC150. Miu Miu summed up the collection in one line: each outfit becomes "an inherent contrast."

Two 1990s Shoes in Two Seasons

Miu Miu has now gone back to the 1990s twice in footwear. The Bubble sneaker revived Miuccia Prada's late 1990s archive on a squared toe and a studded rubber sole, and the house later gave it a lighter sole. The RC150 swaps that sculpted rubber for a 150 gram mesh upper and six colorways.
