Loewe and On's Cloudsolo Hiker Adds Boot Eyelets

Loewe and On's Cloudsolo Hiker puts boot eyelets and a wrap of rubber on the sneaker the two brands first co designed a year ago. It is a heavier, more protected Cloudsolo built for the Loewe and On Fall/Winter 2026 collection, and reports put its release at Thursday, October 15. The Hiker also arrives five months after the Cloudtilt Hi, and it asks for a lot more money.

Reports point to Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Loewe and On stores and online, with early access for registered customers on Wednesday, October 14. The sources do not agree. Hypebeast lists the shoe as available now through select luxury retailers, Sneaker Bar Detroit gave October 6, and JustFreshKicks first said no release date had been announced before later reporting settled on October 15. Saks Fifth Avenue is named by several outlets as a stockist.

The price is the point of agreement. Hypebeast, Sneaker Bar Detroit and JustFreshKicks all report $890, and Sneaker News calls it confirmed. The date and price rest on outlet reporting, so confirm both with Loewe or On before planning around them.

The original Cloudsolo set the template a year ago. It was the first shoe the two brands co designed, with online pre registration on October 15, 2025 and a full release on October 16. The Hiker repeats that rhythm, early access first and the general release a day behind it, which suggests a deliberate cadence for October launches.

Five Months After the Cloudtilt Hi, the Price Climbs

The LOEWE x On Cloudtilt Hi released May 14, 2026 at $650 in teal, taupe and sand. That was the first On and Loewe release under the creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, who took over Loewe on April 7, 2026. The Hiker lists at $890, which is $240 more, or about 37 percent.

Price per feature is the honest way to read the gap. The Cloudtilt Hi was a high top that hid its height; the Hiker adds rubber reinforcement around the upper, boot style eyelets and deeper outsole teeth. Those are the three changes outlets describe, and none of them is a new midsole. The Cloud heel unit and Speedboard carry over from the original Cloudsolo, which means the extra $240 is paying for protection and a boot's lacing, with the cushioning platform unchanged.

Rubber Wraps the Upper and the Eyelets Turn Into Boot Hardware

Sneaker Bar Detroit describes a heavier build than the original, with more protection across the upper and a different outsole. Reports of the shoe name a cloud heel paired with a lugged outsole, a marbled rubber and hardened materials in the upper.

The boot style eyelets matter more than they look. Lace loops on a sneaker are a styling decision; eyelets on a boot are a fit decision, because they let the wearer cinch the ankle and the instep separately. Loewe and On have put that logic on a shoe that still wears the Cloudsolo's silhouette.

Outlets Split on Sand, Khaki, Tan and Fox Red

Colorways are reported two ways. One set of outlets lists sand, dark khaki, black and fox red; another lists tan, dark brown and black. The retailer listing that has surfaced fits the first set, so it is the better supported version, but no colorway has been confirmed by the brands in the sources reviewed.

An apparel capsule ships alongside the shoe. Reports describe parkas and puffers with adjustable hoods and hems, zipped pockets and ventilation, which gives the shoe a wardrobe built for weather rather than for a runway.

Joan Jonas, Martine Syms and Tarek Atoui Sit in the Campaign

Galerie describes the Fall/Winter 2026 collection as one designed for artistic exploration, and it reports that the campaign, photographed by Rosie Marks, features the artists Joan Jonas, Martine Syms and Tarek Atoui. The Hiker and a second model, the Cloudtilt Cosmic, debut within it. The shoe's own tagline is the brand's wording: a new tool for artistic exploration.

Loewe has been leaning toward altitude all season. The brand's Fall/Winter 2026 campaign was shot at Pointe Helbronner in the Mont Blanc massif at elevations near 3,470 meters, with Lil Yachty and Julia Garner in the cast. The runway ran the opposite way. McCollough and Hernandez staged their first menswear show for Loewe at the Château de Vincennes under an ocean themed set by the installation artist Cosima von Bonin, so the Fall/Winter 2026 show and the campaign sit at two environmental extremes, the sea floor and the glacier. A hiking shoe belongs to the second.

A lugged sole, boot eyelets and a hooded parka belong with the glacier, not the sea floor: the collection and the shoe make one argument about terrain.

The Hiker lists at $890 against $650 for the Cloudtilt Hi, adds three visible hiking features to a platform that carries over, and arrives October 15 with early access a day earlier.
