Jay-Z announced two Yankee Stadium concerts for July 10-11, 2026, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. These shows mark his first headline concerts in seven years.

Key Points

## The Return of the Brooklyn King Jay-Z announced on Wednesday (March 18) his first two headline concerts in seven years with shows at Yankee Stadium on July 10-11. On Friday, July 10, the Brooklyn native will honor the 30th anniversary of his debut studio album, 'Reasonable Doubt,' the classic 1996 release followed by The next night, July 11, he'll be back onstage at the same venue to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. They're calling that one JAŸ-Z 25. But a select group of acts have performed sold-out concerts there, packing the 50,000-capacity venue with fans of the biggest acts in rock, rap, Latin and more. The timing is no accident. He had his name changed to JAŸ-Z on streaming services in a nod to the formatting he used circa Reasonable Doubt and released the original version of that album's lead single "Dead Presidents" on streaming. ## The Production DNA That Built Legends The album features production provided by DJ Premier, Ski, Knobody and Clark Kent, and also includes guest appearances from Memphis Bleek, Mary J. Blige, Jaz-O, and The Notorious B.I.G., among others. Jay-Z enlisted a whole host of producers for Reasonable Doubt, but the album's musical soul, mind, and heart came from DJ Clark Kent and Ski, and DJ Premier. "Can't Knock the Hustle" was produced by Knobody at his mother's home in 1994, while the vocals were recorded on tour at a studio in Tampa, Florida named Progressive Music with Mary J. Blige. The production choices were competitive. Ski produced "Feelin' It" and "Politics as Usual" while recording with Camp Lo. The recording sessions were often competitive; Ski and Clark Kent created similar beats for "Politics as Usual", but Ski submitted his to Jay-Z Contrasting the sound of Jay-Z's previous work, The Blueprint features soul-based sampling and production handled primarily by Kanye West, Just Blaze, and Bink, as well as Timbaland, Trackmasters, and Eminem, who also contributes the album's sole guest feature. West produced four of the thirteen tracks on the album, including the songs "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)" and the controversial "Takeover", which included diss lyrics aimed at rappers Nas and Prodigy, while Just Blaze produced three tracks, "Girls, Girls, Girls", "Song Cry", "U Don't Know", and hidden bonus track "Breathe Easy (Lyrical Exercise)". ## The Stadium Economics For fans who want to get in to see Jay Z for the lowest price, tickets start at $315. The average ticket price for Jay Z is $906. For fans who want to get in to see Jay Z for the lowest price, tickets start at $599. The average ticket price for Jay Z is $1,057. The Blueprint show commands higher prices, reflecting both demand and the cultural weight of that album. Tickets for both shows will first be available through a Citi cardmember pre-sale beginning on Monday, March 23rd at 10:00 a.m. ET, with a Live Nation pre-sale following at 1:00 p.m. ET. The general on-sale begins on Tuesday, March 24th at 10:00 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. ## The Cultural Blueprint Despite its release coinciding with the September 11 attacks, it sold over 427,000 copies in its opening week and debuted at number one in the US, holding the spot for three weeks. The popularity and commercial success of The Blueprint established Kanye West and Just Blaze as two of hip-hop's most celebrated producers. West in particular would later be signed by Roc-A-Fella Records in 2002. Reasonable Doubt was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and, as of 2006, has sold 1.5 million copies in the United States. Furthermore, The Blueprint signaled a major stylistic shift in hip-hop production towards a more Soulcentric and sample-reliant sound, creating a number of imitators who attempted to emulate the album's atmospheric style. Prior to The Blueprint, mainstream hip-hop producers had largely eschewed music sampling in favor of the keyboard-driven Timbaland sound (characterized by a shifting, syncopated rhythm, similar to samba or jungle music), due to the financial and legal issues associated with copyright laws. The Blueprint, however, revived musical sampling as a common practice in hip-hop and dislodged the digital keyboard-driven production style as the dominant sound in hip-hop music. ## What Comes Next His upcoming shows will mark his first time headlining there on his own. Just yesterday, Jay-Z was named as a headliner for the Roots Picnic, taking place on May 30. At Roots Picnic 2026, taking place from May 30-31, Jay-Z will perform alongside the Roots, marking the first time they've played together in over a decade. These shows represent more than nostalgia. They are validation that the albums that established Jay-Z as rap royalty remain his creative peaks three decades later.
