The brand has collaborated with Apple, Nike, Bad Bunny and Levi's, and its clothing carries the words IMMIGRANT, SUPPORT YOUR FRIENDS and LOVE.

Report 002 comes from 4873 Melrose Avenue, where Kids of Immigrants opened its first flagship store on Saturday, July 18. Doors ran 11am to 7pm. The brand called the moment "keys in hand," and captioned it "Welcome Home," which is not the language most companies attach to a retail lease.
Ten Years From a Koreatown Bedroom
Kids of Immigrants was founded in 2016 by Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis, two first generation Americans, the son of a Honduran construction worker and the son of a Liberian architect. They started it out of a Koreatown bedroom. Dennis studied fashion design at San Francisco's Academy of Art and worked at Zara, Louis Vuitton and Diesel. Buezo studied social work.
For ten years the label lived where it was made: online, on people, passed hand to hand. The words on the clothes never moved. IMMIGRANT. SUPPORT YOUR FRIENDS. LOVE. On Saturday those words finally got an address.
A Storefront Built as Its Own Thing
The permanence was planned. Kids Of Immigrants Flagship LLC was registered in Los Angeles back in March, months before the keys changed hands. That is not how a pop up gets built. That is how a brand builds for a lease it intends to keep.
Melrose is not a random strip either. It has spent 2026 becoming the proving ground for labels that grew up online and are only now testing a physical register. Putting the flagship here says KOI expects walk in traffic, not just a drop day rush.
The Collaborator List Got There First
Apple, Nike, Bad Bunny and Levi's have all already worn or worked the logo. We have covered that run as it happened: the Nike Total 90 mule, the Nike World Cup campaign work, and the Levi's US Soccer collection. A brand accumulates that kind of list before it has a door, and then the door becomes the obvious next thing.
The store is open to the public now at 4873 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles.
