Evelynn World Turns Saucony's Triumph 4 Into a Mom Shoe

The Evelynn World x Saucony ProGrid Triumph 4 is an off white mesh runner with metallic silver across the toe, forefoot and eyestays, and it reaches its first buyers on October 17 at Tommy's Gift Shop, ahead of a global release on October 23. Evelynn Escobar, who founded the outdoor group Hike Clerb, has taken a shoe Saucony first built in 2007 and renamed the genre it belongs to: the "dad shoe" becomes the "Mom Shoe."

It is a small change on paper. The silhouette is untouched, and the argument lives in the color, the finishing and the date.

The Colorway Is White, Yellow and Silver

Retail listings give the colorway as White, Yellow and Silver under style code S102153 1001. The upper is off white mesh with leather overlays, and the metallic silver sits on the toe cap, the forefoot and the eyestays, where Sole Retriever says yellow softens the shine.

Footwear News adds a patent leather heel accent and reflective detail on the tongue label and the heel loop, and the announcement mentions custom co branded touches. One description also puts red detailing on the collar, midfoot and midsole. Only Footwear News mentions the reflective pieces, so treat those as one source until Saucony posts its own product page.

Sizing is unisex, which suits a shoe named for a role in the family and not for a gender.

A 2007 Running Shoe Built for High Mileage

Saucony first released the Triumph 4 in 2007 as a high mileage trainer for efficient runners, with five foam layers in the heel and four in the forefoot, according to Sneaker News. Its parts are the open mesh base, chrome leather overlays, Arch Lock technology on the medial panel and ProGrid cushioning in the midsole.

Saucony brought the shoe back as a lifestyle retro for AW22 at $150, in the original yellow, black and silver colorway plus two OG inspired pairs. The retro kept the 2007 details, which is why a collaborator can change the story without redrawing anything. Standard women's pairs now sit at $165 at Foot Locker.

That chrome leather is the reason silver looks right here. The original already carried metallic overlays, so Escobar's pair turns up the finish on a part the shoe has always had.

Six Days Between the Pop Up and the Shelf

The first pairs go on sale October 17 at Tommy's Gift Shop, which Sole Retriever places in Los Angeles. The global release follows six days later, on October 23, at Saucony.com and select retail partners, according to Footwear News.

Sources split on the first date. Footwear News and Just Fresh Kicks cite only October 23, while Sole Retriever and Sneaker Bar Detroit add the October 17 pop up, so the early window is a local event and the later one is the wide release. A buyer outside Los Angeles has six days to wait.

Care Is a Flex, Too

The collaboration is pitched as a tribute to everyone who nurtures, protects and shows up for others, with care framed as a flex too. It answers the dad shoe, the joke that treats a chunky, comfortable sneaker as a punchline about fathers who gave up on style.

Escobar teased the project in May 2026 with a sonogram themed post, which Sneaker News covered on May 13, five months before the pop up.

Hike Clerb is the credential behind it. She founded the group in 2017 as a Los Angeles based, intersectional women's outdoor club and nonprofit built for Black, Indigenous and women of color, and it holds monthly hikes. A comfort runner is a believable object from someone who has spent nine years getting groups onto trails.

Gold in September, Silver in October

Saucony has now put metal on two ProGrid designs in five weeks. Stan Birch's Guide 7 Stand Out arrived on September 18 in nubuck, suede and leather overlays across cream, mint, salmon, burgundy and metallic gold, with a swappable Velcro logo patch and two lace options.

The two pairs are built differently. Birch's shoe is a designer's remix with moving parts, while Escobar's is a retro silhouette with one clear idea and a launch date. Gold on one, silver on the other, and both use the ProGrid platform as a canvas.

Price is the open question. Footwear News reports $180 for the Evelynn World pair, while Sole Retriever says the retail price has not been announced, against the $165 that a standard Triumph 4 costs at Foot Locker.
